GENERAL MUSIC

The General Music Classes are taught for all grades (K-6).  The students learn to read music rhythms and notes.

They also learn to sing and match pitches in low, medium, and high singing.

Students also learn about composers and different styles of music.

New Horizon has many performances throughout the year for the students to learn and perform music.  Performing music is part of the curriculum of New Horizon.

The violin classes are part of the general music program.  All 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students learn in a "hands on" way of playing songs on the violin using the Suzuki Violin method.  Mr. Wyler also adds popular songs and interesting material to help string students learn the treble cleff and music notes, rests, tempos, etc.
